Tate is also the Founder of OTH Intelligence Group LLC, a Partner with One Defense, a defence technology strategic advisory and horizon scanning firm. He has published several works including Atlantic Council’s Strategy White Paper: A Candle in the Dark: A US AI Strategy for National Security, a paper on Japan-US defence collaboration in artificial intelligence and unmanned systems, and a U.S-China Economic and Security Review Commission’s report entitled China’s Advanced Weapons Systems.

Dzirhan Mahadzir

Dzirhan has 25 years of extensive experience in military defence and tactical strategy, particularly in the ASEAN region. Alongside his Senior Advisor role at IScann Group, Dzirhan is a regular contributor for leading defence journals and provides his analysis at Defence forums. He has lectured at the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College on various topics pertaining to strategy and military history, and regularly briefs the Malaysian Armed Forces and visiting delegations from military institutions such as the US National Defense University, USAF Air War College and the Australian Staff College. Previously, he served as President of the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan and as a Senior Advisor, Cyber Security Department, Executive Yuan, Taiwan,. It was here that he provided strategic insights on the development of the cyber security industry, focusing on intelligence operations, research and analysis. He has served in the Taiwan Navy including being Special Assistant to Secretary General, National Security Council, Taiwan, Naval Attaché to the United States. Heavily involved in US-Taiwan military relations, he has also coordinated key foreign policy programmes and is a widely sought after speaker on the subject.

In addition to his advisory role at IScann Group, Mike is the Founder and Chief Developer at PM Development, where he runs a wide range of in-house events, project management and performance training courses. He has also held roles at Jane’s Information Group, The Media House & Caspian Media Ltd. Mike also leads IScann Group’s Charity initiative, in particular support for the Pancreatic Cancer UK foundation.
